#CatchUpOnGrowth With Horlicks Growth+

Horlicks has come up with a unique product which would help the kids in catching up the lost growth. Few kids don’t gain as much as height as they should and their body mass doesn’t match their age. The development is lost over years and there was no way to gain the lost growth until Horlicks launched their Horlicks Growth+. On 15th May 2016 Horlicks launched their innovative product which is called Horlicks Growth+. The most unique thing about this product is that it claims to achieve the growth that has been lost over years. So in a nut shell this product will help your kids to #CatchUpOnGrowth.

The launch was successfully carried out in collaboration with Indiblogger. More than hundred bloggers were invited to witness the launch of this unique product. The session started with in a typical Indiblogger way wherein we played a number game. Soon after the game was over we were introduced to the members of the panel discussion. The panel comprised of a moderator Natasha Badhwar, Dr. Rajiv Chhabra, Ms Satinder Kaur Walia and Dr .Jyoti Batra.

Natasha Badhwar is a mother of three, a media professional and an entrepreneur too. The most exciting part was that she is an avid blogger and  writes a fortnightly column, “My Daughters’ Mum” on Mint Lounge. Dr. Rajiv Chhabra is the head of department of Paediatrics at Artemis Hospital, Gurgaon. His glorious career includes hospital giants like Max Hospital, St Mary’s Hospital, Seth GS Medical College & Rajiv Gandhi Cancer institute & Research Centre, New Delhi. Ms Satinder Kaur Walia boasts a Master’s degree in Psychology with a specialization in School Psychology at the University of Central Oklahoma, Oklahoma, USA. She is currently running a centre named ‘Learning at Potential’ for psychological and educational assessment. Last but not the least Dr .Jyoti Batra, who is a Head Dietician at Batra Hospital. Her major work includes counselling the patients and helping them out on with their Diet plans.

The panel started discussing about the children their psychology and their eating habits. Many secrets were unveiled in the discussion. The panel was a well balanced mix of people and their brain storming discussion helped a lot of parent bloggers present at the launch. I am no parent but I do have a nephew so I could relate to a lot of things. After a good discussion the panel was open for questions from bloggers. To my surprise there were questions being bombarded from all sides to the panel members.

Bloggers asking questions

Few of my takeaways from the panel discussion and the question and answer round are as under:

  • Milk is not as important as it been claimed since years. If your kid doesn’t like milk then don’t force, you can have many supplements for the same.
  • Kids follow what parents do, so if you want your kids to do or follow certain lifestyle then parents should start doing the same.
  • Try innovative ways to present the conventional food for your kids. Kids love color and variety.
  • Don’t go out in Sun from 11 am to 4 pm seeking Vitamin D.
  • Decide the parenting style that you wish to opt, you cannot be a friend and a parent at the same time.
  • There is always an alternate way of supplementing Vitamins and Minerals for your kids all you have to do is look for that way.

After this panel discussion was over another interesting discussion awaited us. We were now introduced to the GSK team which included Mr. Amaan Khan and Dr. Aditya Kaushik. Mr. Amaan Khan  is the Marketing Lead for Horlicks, Indian Sub-Continent at GSK Consumer Healthcare. He boasts a rich 18 years of experience in Sales and Marketing Experience across FMCG, Healthcare & Personal Care categories. Dr. Aditya Kaushik is the head of Medical Affairs for Indian Subcontinent at GSK Consumer Healthcare. He has 20 years of clinical and industry experience in Medical & Regulatory Affairs & Clinical Drug Development.

During this session the Horlicks Growth+ product was launched and we all got a glimpse of it. While the former discussion was more focused on kids and their lifestyle this one was more product centered. Both the team members passionately talked about the product and its content. Horlicks Growth+ contains high quality whey protein, growth amino acids and vitamins, minerals from natural sources and is available in 2 delicious flavors- chocolate & vanilla. They also detailed about the clinical trails and the positive results that they have achieved. It is the first brand which is clinically proven to catch up on weight and height in children with results that will be visible in 6 months. The unique selling proposition of the the product is that it helps your kids to catch up on the lost growth. The product is designed by international paediatric experts and possesses specific nutrients that have been identified to trigger growth in children who are falling behind on the growth curve (in terms of height & weight). Another important thing is that it is targeted towards children of age 3-9 years old. The discussion was ensued by an intense question answer round. The GSK team answered all the questions very promptly.

After the discussion got over we broke for tea. A lot of catching up was done during this time. It is always good to put faces to the online profiles. We were back in the auditorium as another interesting activity awaited us. How can an Indiblogger meet end without some fun activity. We were then shuffled and divided into teams of 10. We were then asked to make a video of 30 seconds promoting the product. Soon the teams started discussing the idea and started filming their videos. I was happy to be an all girls team.
