Safari Tales : Searching the Elusive in Panna National Park

Panna National Park

Panna city in Madhya Pradesh is popular for its diamond industry. Apart from its glittery diamond affairs Panna is also home to a wide variety of elusive wildlife species. Panna National Park came to glory after being declared as the Tiger reserve in 1994. Panna National Park, the Tiger reserve of Panna is the 22nd Tiger reserve of India and fifth in Madhya Pradesh. Located in central Madhya Pradesh and just 57 km away from Khajuraho, Panna National Park can be easily reached via air and road. Being closed to the popular tourist attraction Khajuraho, Panna National Park is often clubbed with the Khajuraho visit. Only a hardcore safari enthusiast will specifically come to Panna National Park for a safari as it has less Tigers as compared to Bandhavgarh National Park and Kanha National Park.

My Abodes in Parsili, Rewa, Panna and Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh

My Abodes in Parsili, Rewa, Panna and Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh

Few weeks back I was on a week long trip across the north-eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh. In the quest of exploring the lesser known gems of Madhya Pradesh I traversed across various cities in the span of one week. I saw six sunsets, all at different locations ranging from the backdrop of majestic temples of Khajuraho to the dense forest of Panna National Park to the never ending roads. While moving from one city to another (almost everyday) was exciting to another level but the same was tiring as well. The good and comfortable accommodations at all the cities helped in keeping our spirits high. Like they say (below is my tweaked version)

Photo Blog: Raneh Falls Our Own Grand Canyon in Madhya Pradesh

Raneh Falls Our Own Grand Canyon

Located just 20 kms away from Khajuraho, Raneh Falls is an apt detour to cater the natural beauty enthusaist in you. First things first I have never seen anything like this before and was amazed to another level that we have such rock formations in India. Raneh Falls which also marks the edge of Rewa plateau is majorly contributed by the majestic Ken river. Going by the name I was expecting a huge waterfall but there was just a thin stream of waterfall. While I was disappointed with the waterfall, the intricate rock formations and varied colors of graynite gave me another high. The Ken river forms a 5 kms long and approximately 30 meters deep canyon which showcases pure crystalline granite in various colors.

I could sense your breath,
I could feel your touch.
But still you were far far away,
It was like.
You behind a glass door.

Tata Unveils All New Tata HEXA

0

Tata Motors has recently unveiled their all new Tata HEXA SUV. I was fortunate to attend the prelaunch of Tata HEXA and take the beast for a spin around Hyderabad. I reached the venue (Novotel Hyderabad) well before the pre-launch and hence got some time to hang around Tata HEXA. The first thought that will cross your mind is its uncanny resemblance to Tata Aria. But as you look around more you will realize that’s not the case. At times it even looked like a good blend of Aria and Endeavour but as I explored and looked around more, it wasn’t the case at all. The exteriors are striking and head turning.

How My Work Has Added to My Travel Experiences

Going by the numbers published on a popular professional social media site, 80% of the people don’t enjoy their jobs. There are many who even hates it to the core. I guess I belong to the 20% group. I might not be deeply madly and truly in love with my job but I don’t hate it as well. I enjoy building solutions and making things work for people in need. Also not to forget it pays me and that helps me in perusing my love for travel. I don’t have to wait for someone else to buy tickets or sponsor my trip, I can very well do it on my own. I love the freedom and the independence that comes along with the work in the form of its remuneration. Apart from all this my work has bestowed some wonderful travel opportunities on me.

No Dussehra and No Goldsmith In Baijnath

During my visit to Palampur I got the chance to see Baijnath temple. Palampur contented me with its natural beauty and fresh tea. Paragliding at Bir quenched the adventure soul inside me and Baijnath made sure that I am content in terms of mythology too. I was putting up at Himachal Heritage Village and Baijnath temple was just 30 minutes drive away from there. Geographically it is located between Kangra and Mandi. Why are we suddenly talking so much about Baijnath, it is all because of it’s famous 13th Century Shiva Temple and the fascinating story associated with it. The temple is known by the name Baijnath temple, clearly it shares the name with the city.

Why India The land of festivals should be your next travel destination

India The land of festivals

When I was in Malaysia a lot of my colleagues were very keen on visiting India. The women were wooed by Shahrukh Khan whereas the men would drool over the Indian beauty. They often used to talk how they love Indian food and colourful festivals. I didn’t know that people were so intrigued by our wide range of festivals. The fact that India celebrates such varied varieties of festival across the country has attracted many travellers to India. One of many reasons why India should be your next travel destination is because it is the land of festivals. The colors, the celebrations and the revelry never stop.
