Friendship Goals, Standing Strong Since 1998

0

It all started in 1998 and who knew it would last this long. Really this long. We were not even in the same class. But we got together somehow and since then it has growing thicker and thicker. We stood the test of time and changing relationship statues. Different career choices, moving to different cities for jobs and personal relationship turmoil, we have seen it all. If you are wondering who is this “we” I am referring to, it is my girl gang. “My Lucknow Peeps” is what I call them fondly. They go by the names Rashmi, Priyanka and Dyutima (in a random order). We never really planned on becoming the friendship icon but with time we did.

Dhanaulti With Zero Stay !

Dhanaulti With Zero Stay

Friday has its own excitement. It brings a unique fervor which makes us head to work. Because when we come back there is weekend waiting for us. At work also everyone is clad in bright casuals and it’s hard to miss the excitement of weekend on everyone’s face. The excitement grows by leaps and bounds when a travel plan shakes hands with Friday. Something like this happened to me one fine Friday. My leisure Friday evening plans went for a loss and I was packing for Dhanaulti instead. No complaints whatsoever. I like when travel wins over all other uncertainties.

No More Tyred-ness with Puncture Man

No More Tyred-ness with Puncture Man

We live in a Start Up era, like literally. I personally receive at least five emails everyday introducing some or the other Start Up. While some make sense to me, a lot of them doesn’t fit any of my bills (not demeaning them in any way). In this plush aura of Start Up boom, I recently came across a Start Up which is relevant and useful to the mass in day to day life. The concept is called Puncture Man. House of Tyres Private Limited tied a robust knot with Indian Oil Pertrol Pumps to set up Puncture Man across all the Indian Oil Pertrol Pumps in the country.

During the season when the plateau is on full bloom the site looks as if it is carpeted with colorful flowers.

Defying Gravity at Krishna’s Butter Ball Mahabalipuram

Krishna’s Butter Ball is an intriguing tourist attraction in Mahabalipuram. It is a giant granite rock which is located on a smooth slope. This huge rock is resting at a good 45 degrees and yet defies all the gravitational force on this earth. There is no outer force to balance this rock and it is here all the laws of physics goes for a toss. It opens a bundle of amusement and you cannot help but wonder how on God’s green earth it is standing still.

Pancha Rathas Mahabalipuram

Mahabalipuram is rich in ancient history. It is very popular for the group of monuments which include various cave temples and Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) sites. Pancha Rathas (Five Chariots) is one of the most interesting sites in Mahabaliuram. It is situated on the Coromandel Coast of the Bay of Bengal and hence enjoys easy reachability. Pancha Rathas existence goes back to the 7th Century and has close attribution to the reign of King Mahendravarman I and his son Narasimhavarman. This monument complex comes under the auspices of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). It also boasts the coveted title of UNESCO World Heritage site. So many reasons not to miss this architectural delight.

Wonderful Stay at WunderHaus Airbnb in Pondicherry

0

Ever since I have come back from Pondicherry the most consistent question that I have been asked is, where did you stay? While I have graced everyone with an answer I also realized that more and more people want to know about staying options in Pondicherry. I am no expert in hotels but I can definitely give my two cents about my stay in Ponicherry. So when a group of six girls randomly related to each other plan out a getaway the stay has to be fun and unconventional. We unanimously decided for a home stay. We zeroed down a couple of options but the search came to end the moment we found WunderHaus Airbnb.

Photo Blog Around Domus Dei Cathedral in Pondicherry

Domus Dei Cathedral

A city is best explored on foot and Pondicherry is no exception. So my girlfriends and I decided to walk around the streets and let the by lanes surprise us. While wandering through the narrow lanes of the French colony we came across Domus Dei Cathedral. We walked in thinking it would be like any other church but we were in for a huge surprise. Domus Dei is an architectural delight. Every nook and cranny is picturesque. By the time we entered the church it was already 5 PM. We couldn’t spent a lot of time inside the church. The little time we spent was definitely not enough. So we dropped by again the next day. When you are on a tight schedule on a trip, a place has to be very compelling to bring you back. Guess Domus Dei Cathedral has everything that it takes to bring you back.
