Let Us Drool Over Some Flora From Mountains !

I am a nature enthusiast. The mountain peaks and various shades of green excites me more than the twinkling lights of high rise buildings. The cool breeze of mountains make me more happy than the chill of air conditioners. Though I get the later more than the former, that’s another story of my life. But like they say “Learn to play with whatever you have” and I am trying to do exactly the same. My recent short trip to mountains was over before I could even imagine and I am back to civilization. Not that I don’t like it here but I miss waking up to the chirping of birds and the view of clouds merging into the peaks. I am back with a lot of stories and to begin with I have some stills of beautiful floral delights that I came across in the mountains. So without further ado let us drool over some flora from mountains.

Change Of Guard At Rashtrapati Bhavan Gave Me Goosebumps!

Delhi has no dearth of Places to visit in to sort your weekends. There are innumerable weekend getaways that you embark on, interesting road trips that you can take, and if none of these work out you can just head out and explore “Saadi Delhi” (our Delhi). My quest for exploring places and events happening in Delhi took me to the grand and imposing Rashtrapati Bhavan. I went to Rashtrapati Bhavan on an early Saturday morning to witness the Change of Guard ceremony. Change of guard ceremony happens every day but is open to the public only on Saturdays.

Indians At Madame Tussauds London !

As much as I was amazed inside Madame Tussauds I was very very proud. Proud because there were so many Indians whose statues were standing tall in that coveted wax museum. Indians have made their mark everywhere and Madame Tussauds was no different. I was smiling ear to ear when I saw people posing with Amitabh Bachchan with the same fervor as with Brad Pitt. It was indeed an overwhelming sight.

My last post was all about the engineering and hard work that goes into the making of these flawless statues and this is all about the Indians who have managed to make a place for themselves there. So without any further ado here goes the list:

Of all the things love is, the most important is it being stupid. Yes I said it, love is stupid. Not for just one reason but for many that I know. It makes you unreasonable and compels you to do things that you aren’t supposed required to do. Logic and love just don’t go hand in hand. They are mutually exclusive. Falling for a person you can’t have, Loving someone who wouldn’t couldn’t love you back; aren’t these illogical ? But yet we fall for it, yet we end up acting stupid.

An Insight Into Making Of Wax Statues at Madame Tussauds London!

Madame Tussauds is all about colorful and glossy wax statues. If I have to describe it in one word, it would be “glamarous”. It showcases famous personalities from different fields like movie industry, music industry, sports, politics and many more under one roof. Madame Tussauds is nicely arranged according to the fields so that you can swiftly move around and visit your favorite spots as per your choice. I was totally hooked to the bollywood section, leave aside how real they looked I was proud to bits to see so many of them standing tall there.

Why My Ganga Aarti Experience Was A Little Less Sublime

Ganga Mandir at Har ki Pauri

Last year when I had gone for the most interesting trek of my life I happen to witness the morning Ganga Aarti at Haridwar. I had only heard great thing about the aarti and trust me I have never seen an aarti in my life of that grandeur. It starts at around 6:30 in the morning at the Har Ki Pauri Ghat. The aarti changes the whole atmosphere. The aarti song is also played on the loudspeakers so that everyone can sing along and worship Ganges. A hint of divinity spreads in the air. The smell of incense, wick lamps and flowers made the whole experience just perfect. But there were many elements which made my Ganga aarti experience a little less sublime.

On the occasion of International Women’s day (yes I know it is not Mother’s day) one question which almost every women is going to face is “Who is your inspiration?”, “Who do you look up to?” etc etc. I have often heard much big names who have done wonders to the society and worked very hard for the betterment of women and mankind. I am not sure if I am in senses to say this or not but I just cannot relate to such answers. Having said that I am not belittling the greater good that these women have done in their fields. But I would still take names of women who have helped me on the grass root level, who have inspired me everyday and every moment of my life. So here I say is my sister and my mother inspires me more than Mother Teresa.

Toy Train To Shimla From Kalka

Train journeys take me back to childhood. Born in a defense family traveling and moving was an inevitable part of my life. I would lie if I will say I used to love travelling since then because back then I used to do it because I was supposed to do it. We used to come to our hometown during the summer vacations and long train journeys were something I used to look forward to. Back then happiness was in doing these stupid little things but now time has changed. Not that I am complaining but yes it has turned upside down. So getting back to train journeys today I am going to share my experience of one of the most unique train rides of my life which is a toy train to Shimla from Kalka.

Stop Faking Your Life On Facebook!

Stop faking your life on Facebook, high time you do that. I understand the impact of social media but what I don’t understand is the obsession for praises and likes from the Facebook friends and the duress certain people have to showcase their perfect life on Facebook by posting the minutest of the details of their whereabouts. This is also acceptable if you actually have the life that you showcase on Facebook, but there are people who fake their lives and it irks the hell out of me.
