Food and I don’t share much of a bond. We meet and greet each other strictly on need basis. But when I saw an opportunity to learn some tips and tricks around photography I grabbed the opportunity with both the hands even though it was all food centric. I have to mention Travel Correspondents/ Bloggers Group here because they gave me this opportunity. I won a contest within this group and the entry to this workshop was my reward for winning the contest.
What is the first thing that comes to you mind at the mention of international travelling? Visa intricacies and sorting flight tickets options, these two are the first thoughts that cross my mind. Destiny made an exception for me when I traveled to London last year. My flights tickets and UK visa whereabouts were taken care by my employer as it was an official trip. So much love for the hassle free travel itineraries. So my entry was seamless and I didn’t face any hiccup at the immigration as well.
An expensive gift on valentines, isn’t that very trite? This valentine do something different and gift an unforgettable experience to your loved ones. If the idea interests you then my first and strongest recommendation would be to head to Diu for Festa De Diu. Festa De Diu is Asia’s longest beach festival which started on 15th December and is on till 15th February. Yes it covers the valentine’s weekend. I was at Festa De Diu during the long weekend of January and I can bet it is one of the most romantic places I have ever been to.
I was busy attending something in my phone when the driver stopped the car and said “madam pahuch gaye”(mam we have reached). In no time I looked up to witness the beauty of Rann of Kutch. It was one of the most incredible sights that I have even seen. The first word that came out of my mouth was “WOW”. Rann of Kutch is a perfect example to prove how barren can be so beautiful. One thing that I would like to tell you all beforehand is that for getting into Rann of Kutch you have to obtain a permit. It is an easy process all you need is a valid identity proof.
As I approached Kutch I could spot multiple hoardings by Gujarat Tourism welcoming the guests to the Rann Utsav. In no time I could hear “Kuch din to gujariye gujrat mein” in the deep and magical voice of Amitabh Bacchan in my head. I was excited to the core as I wanted to attend Rann Utsav since long time and finally the day was here. I had read about it so I had a rough idea about how it is going to be but little did I know. The grandeur of the Tent City left me speechless. With my eyes wide open in amazement I kept looking around as we drove in through the main gate. I could see from the gate that it has so much more in store for me.
Akshardham Temple is one of the must visit places in Delhi. You can easily spot this name in almost every must-visit list for Delhi. It has been quite a while I am putting up in NCR and yet I had never visited this temple. The jinx broke when my parents came down to Delhi for New Year celebrations. Me and my sister decided to visit the temple with them.
I am not a food person. I eat to live and I don’t understand food much either. But when it comes to curating an experience, even if it around food I am always up for it. So dinner at Dadhikar Fort happened after a tiring day at Bhangarh Fort. After we came back from Bhangarh Fort we were tired and didn’t want to do anything which would required even an ounce of energy. Dinner was something we had to do anyways so we decided to make it a little more special and memorable by dining at Dadhikar Fort.
We had made reservations in prior and I highly suggest you do that too in case you ever go to Dadhikar Fort for dining. It makes things convenient and fuzz free. From Itrana it took us around an hour to reach the fort. It was all lit up and the I could hear the Rajasthani folk music from the entrance. We walked in and the place was beautifully decked up. I like the rustic texture of forts and with a little make over they can look really beautiful and that’s exactly the deal was with Dadhikar Fort.
Did you spot the Tiger ? This is the first question/reaction that I get when I tell someone that I went to Sariska Tiger Reserve. I wasn’t really amazed at the consistency of the same question but I felt that the reserve was more than just the Tigers. Had I not been to the place I would have asked the same question. But to answer all your questions we did spot the Tiger. I will come back to it later but for now let me take you through a photo journey of Sariska Tiger Reserve.
Going to Bhangarh Fort was an impulsive decision and I am glad that we decided to take that hasty road trip to Bhangarh. The journey started from Noida and after two hours we touched down Bhiwadi and post that we entered the Alwar District in Rajasthan. I had heard a lot about Bhangarh Fort and how it boasts the title of one of the most haunted forts in India. The inquisition to see the fort and experience the paranormal forces was always there. By the time we reached Alwar it was already dark and we knew after sunset you cannot enter the fort, not that we were scared but simply because it isn’t allowed. We retired for the night and decide to leave early for the fort.
Technology has boomed like we have never imagined. Cell phones came to facilitate over fixed land lines, laptops ushered in to provide the comfort over desktops and when we needed a resort between these two then came the era of Tablets. Many ace companies came forward with their version of Tablets and one of the prominent companies in this league is Asus which came forward with their Asus ZenPad. You can think of them as a bigger and better versions of your cell phone.
