London Streets And All That Jazz

London Cover Photos

Christmas has gone, New Year has already commenced and hence the festivity in the air is dimming with every passing day. All we can do is sit back and reminisce the time of revelries. One such memory that I am not able to get off my mind are the sights of starry London Streets. Every nook and corner of London City is click worthy but a special mentions goes for its streets. I mostly visited London on weekends as it was quite far from the place where I was putting up. Weekends are always busy and so were the streets of London.

One of the exclusive perks of being a lifestyle blogger is that you get cool gadgets to review. So when Asus  sent their latest ZenFone Laser 2 phone to me for review I was thrilled to bits. Like uncle Ben said “with great power comes great responsibility”, being a blogger is also a very responsible job and I take it very seriously. I always try and do justice with the opportunities that I get so to explore the phone to the best of its capabilities I decided to go on a Road Trip to Alwar with Asus ZenFone Laser 2 as travelling is the best way of exploring.

Flipping Through The Pages of Past

Road Less Travelled

The weekend just flew and it is going to be Sunday midnight in sometime. Well what did I do this weekend, nothing great and nothing extraordinary. Like the whole of NCR was migrating to some or the other touristy destination I also decided to step out from my cozy bed. So where did I go and where is this post heading to? It was an impulsive decision and without thinking much we made our way towards Rajasthan. Now you must be wondering where in Rajasthan and why can’t she get to the point in one go. So without further ado we went to Bhangarh Fort and then to Sariska Tiger Reserve. Why these two places, truth to be told these two only looked feasible considering the long weekend prior bookings. So I knew an exciting weekend was in store but never did I know that I would be taking a plunge into the past too. Even though I am tired to bits and my eyelids are heavy as hell but still I cannot end this day without flipping through the pages of past.

Christmas Tree.

With Christmas around the corner the preparations are on its peak. All this while I had always thought Christmas is all about decorating the tree with different shiny and glittery ornaments. So basically you go out and shop for the ornaments and hang them creatively around the tree to prepare it for the Christmas night. I don’t remember, even vaguely thinking about buying the Christmas tree. It could be because in India we generally buy the plastic trees which are available in the market and decorate them. But recently I got an opportunity to try my hands on Christmas tree shopping. It isn’t a very simple drill there are so many specifics to take care while you are out to buy the Christmas tree. So without a further ado let’s go Christmas tree shopping.

Here’s Why You Should Report Sexual Violence!

Sexual violence is a new rage in our country. Every social media is flooded with cases of rapes and sexual assault. While few makes it to the piling case files of police stations, countless cases go unreported. India is a conservative country and anything related to sex is still a big taboo be it sex before marriage or sexual assaults or rape for the matter of fact. We have been brought up like that. Talking and discussing sex is considered to be a sign of being uncultured and vulgar. Since this is how we look at a normal consensual sex then how do you expect people to come up and report sexual violence, something that happened against their wish and will. Wouldn’t it be such a huge disgrace and topic of shame.

Postcards From London !

Postcards From London

I have come back from London with tonnes of pictures and memories. I can’t help but think about the beautiful city all the time. I keep browsing through the pictures that i clicked there every now and then. I can still feel the chill of the air and the energy of the city. I knew I will write something about the city but the pictures compelled me to do something else. So before starting with any stories about London I present to you some postcards from London. These pictures will include some of the touristy clicks and a lot of random clicks as well.

Did Social Media Help During Chennai Floods ?

Media and Social Media are always blamed for over exaggerating things during the crisis times. I can say that because I have seen the media making a mountain out of a mole-hill, whether it be regarding the so called intolerance or a casual conversation between a couple about the safety of their kids. But recently I have seen an entirely different face of social media and I have to say social media is here to stay not just because it connects people but it helps them too. I was amazed to see how the social media had helped Chennai during the floods.

We Humans Are All Same

I am writing this at a very awkward time, at a place where I am not supposed to do this. But that’s the beauty there is no protocol, there is nothing rigid and no one to approve except me. I am the authority here. I decide when it happens and when it is shut. Okay so getting back to the point, yes we humans all are same, irrespective of the geographies and the countries we live in. The basic human nature always prevails and is way over and above the cast, creed, culture and geographies. Why I am writing this today, isn’t it something that everyone knows already. Yes it might be a well-established fact already but I had my own share of realisation very recently. I am in London these days back by virtue of my work, yes I will get back on this later. I am sure I will be flooding posts about London and its whereabouts in some days but for now let us stick to the point that I want to highlight here.

My Vote to the South Zone and the Credit Entirely Goes to Hyderabad

When it comes to zeroing down on a city, without even blinking ‘Hyderabad’ comes to my mind. The city has given me an unforgettable experience. My love for Hyderabad is not hidden to anyone I have spoken about it many times. So when I heard about a zonal war going on wherein we have to speak about our favourite city with respect to few pointers how could I not come ahead and speak my heart out for Hyderabad. So here I am giving my vote to the south zone and the credit entirely goes to Hyderabad.

How to reset the TSA lock on your luggage

There are times when we come across hacks which become life saviour and I had one such moment very recently. I was packing bags for a new destination (details will be up soon) and since the stay was for a month I ended up with two bags instead of one. In between the packing spree my mother called up to check on the progress and just after a minute she asked me if I had locked the bags properly. Okay, now that’s a good question. I am not very fond of locking the bags with a small conventional lock and to my rescue both my bags were equipped with inbuilt TSA locks. With a breath of relief I told my mother that I have taken care of the locks and she doesn’t have to worry about it.
