Exploring Phuket with Aleenta Hotel Resorts & Spa

After a week of sickness and a week of recovery, travel to a new place can be very rewarding. And when it involves venturing to a new country, the excitement goes through the roof. For my first visit to the land of smiles, Thailand, I partnered with Akaryn Hotel Group. The first destination in the country was Phuket. Akaryn Hotel Group has two properties in Phuket, one by the name of Aleenta Hotel Resorts & Spa and the other by the name of Akyra Beach Club. In this post, I will be talking all about my experience with Aleenta Hotel Resorts & Spa.

About Aleenta Hotels Resorts & Spa

Aleenta Hotel Resorts & Spa is located at the north of Phuket, pretty much away from all the hustle and bustle. The fact that it is situated on the sunset side of the Andaman Sea and the Pristine Natai only adds to the picturesqueness of the resort. A twenty-minute drive from Phuket International Airport will take you right at the reception of Aleenta Resorts, where the smiling faces will greet you with Sawasdee Kaa! The check-in took less than 5 mins and I decided to have breakfast before heading to the room.

While I will talk about the food in detail later in the post, I will have to mention how green the resort is. On my way to the breakfast area, the in house restaurant called “The Edge” I couldn’t help but notice balance between the concrete and greens. The resort is full of trees and plants both which can grow on land and water. There are multiple man-made water bodies filled with fishes and aquatic plants. A setup like this overlooking the Andaman Sea is nothing but a visual treat which soothes your mind, body and soul.

Rooms at Aleent Hotels Resorts & Spa

Aleenta believes in the concept of “all suites, all private” and it delivers the same. The different varieties of luxury rooms are the testament of Aleenta’s belief. The accommodations range from 80m Pool Villas to 600m for 2 and 3 bedroom beachfront villas. The fact that one can experience privacy with utmost luxury makes Aleenta one of the most sought after accommodations in Phuket. I was allotted a Grand Deluxe Pool Villa and it is possibly the most private and luxurious villa I have ever stayed in.

As the name suggests the grand Deluxe Pool Villa is an independent villa which comes with a private pool and a separate shower area. The room has a huge king size bed and it opens right into the pool. The villa comes with everything that you can imagine and even more. Right from a fully stocked mini-bar, to In-room safe to hairdryer to the tea and coffee making machine, it has everything.

What excites me the most is the fact that sustainability is not compromised in the name of luxury. There was no single-use plastic in the whole villa, the shampoo and other toiletry came in a ceramic dispenser, the water was kept in glass bottles and the laundry bag was made of cloth, not plastic which is the case in most of the luxury accommodations. The rooms at Aleenta have a very sylvan look and feel which is very soothing to the eyes. The minimal interiors of the rooms have my heart.

The food at Aleenta Hotels Resorts & Spa

Aleenta has two inhouse Restaurant, “The Edge” and “Natai Restaurant”. The Edge serves the breakfast buffet and is open for lunch orders too. The chef at The Edge is adept in carefully crafting a range of delicious cuisine. From nutritious wholesome meal with healing herbs to Thai food filled with exotic spices, you can expect everything under one roof. Natai Restaurant mainly serves dinner and offers a huge variety of Italian and Thai dishes.

Though these two restaurants close after their time of operation, they offer services 24-hour service for the in-room menu. So if for some reason you feel hungry at an odd time, all you have to do is give them a call and tell your preference. Though these two restaurants are the main dining areas, for special occasions private dining can also be arranged. From a romantic dinner for two to a beach barbecue with friends to in-room dining, nothing is out of the question at Aleenta Resorts.

My experience with food at Aleenta has been exemplary.

Being a vegetarian is not the best food preference when in Thailand. But the people at Aleenta have been creative enough to curate a vegetarian version of everything that I fancied from their menu. Another aspect that I appreciated was the breakfast buffet arrangement. Only the staples like bread, jam, butter, cereals etc were kept on buffet rest everything was a part of the ala carte menu. This reduces a lot of food wastage which I generally see at every hotel. An arrangement like this ensures that only the requested item is prepared and thus preventing unnecessary wastage of food. I have to mention that there was no usage of single-use plastic at any of the restaurants. The straws used were either paper or straw and there were only glass water bottles.

Aleenta is not just a hotel but an experience

The management at Aleenta Hotels has gone a step ahead to ensure that the guest has a holistic experience. They also curate local trips as per guest’s desires. Since I wanted to see a few nearby areas as well, they organized a bike tour for me. I remember I rode for close to fourteen kilometres and saw a lot of rubber plantation, pineapple fields and other local vegetations. On this tour, I also observed the Thai Spirit houses which were all over the place. I was also a part of a beach yoga session.

You can know more about such tours at their Tour and Excursion Desk. Apart from this they also have their in-house spa, Ayurah where you can book your session for a relaxing spa session. Not just this they also have a fitness centre, yoga room and a lot of other daily in-house activities which include Thai Boxing, Pilates, Thai Chi, Aqua Gym and a lot more.

What I love about Aleenta Hotels Resorts & Spa

  • It is not just a concrete building, it is a landscape with the perfect blend of natural and manmade elements.
  • The practices followed by the management of the resorts are in line with the sustainability of the planet. No use of single-use plastic is something which deserves a pat on the back.
  • The management not just takes care of your stay and food. They can also curate different experiences as per the guest’s request.
  • The resort is the best place to enjoy the best of luxury services in most private settings that one can imagine.
  • Though it is a luxury resort it offers complete value for the money that one spends. With so many things to do inside the resorts only, one can enjoy a holistic vacation in Phuket.
  • Though Phuket is often assumed as a party destination with a boisterous place like Patong beach. But Phuket also has a quaint side to it and it can be best experienced with Aleenta Hotels.

So if you are planning a trip to Phuket and wish to experience the authentic taste of luxury without compromising with your privacy, you should check out Aleenta Hotels Resorts & Spa. It is a perfect destination to enjoy some private time with your friends and family in the lap of premier class luxury.
