It all started when I saw this photo walk event on Facebook. I wasn’t sure of going as it was all about photography and I am obviously not a photographer. But then I saw some ace bloggers accepting the invite and then I thought if not for the photos I have to be there to meet these great people. I have seen their posts, I follow them on every social media and here was a chance to meet them in person. I didn’t wanna give it a miss.
Saturday mornings are a bit difficult for me but the dedication got me going and finally I reached Chandani Chowk, I was in constant touch with Tarun who was one of the organizers. He is also an avid blogger and writes at My Greedy BackPack. He introduced me to the group and then we started with the walk.
After a while everyone wanted to have breakfast, and when in Chandani Chowk how can you eat anything else other than parathas. We made our way to the famous Parathe Wali Gali and treated ourselves with stuffed parathas.
Making our way ahead we reached a sweet shop which had variety of sweets and everyone tried some or the other items.
Below are some random shots that I took during the walk.
We then reached to a “Kachauri” shop which was flooded with customer even at that hour of the morning. I am sure it tastes as heaven but I couldn’t try as I was full with the parathas.
We also went to Mirza Ghalib ki Haweli and I will be floating another blog on that very soon. The weather starting showing signs which wasn’t appropriate for the high end cameras that everyone was carrying, so we decided to head back home.
It was fun to discover the narrow lanes of Chandani Chowk. I have never seen Chandani Chowk so sparse, it always brings that boisterous picture in my head. But this time it was different. The roads were empty and there was no one pushing and brushing you.
This is how I spent my Eid morning in Chandni Chowk doing a Photo Walk with #DelhiDarter I hope you liked it too.
